Our insurance casualty team handles complex, high-value personal injury and large loss claims, acting on behalf of insurers and self-insured commercial organisations. The role involves supporting partners on multi-track matters covering motor, employers' liability, public liability, and indemnity work.

You will manage a varied caseload with autonomy, handling liability investigations, policy coverage assessments, quantum analysis, and all aspects of file management. There is regular exposure to court proceedings, pre-trial meetings, and CMC hearings, alongside drafting legal documents and client advice.

The team offers strong career development, with opportunities to build client relationships through training delivery, case clinics, and mentoring junior colleagues. You will also support marketing and business development within the wider casualty group.

2–5 PQE, with experience in personal injury litigation (defendant large loss preferred, but claimant background considered)
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, demanding environment and meet chargeable targets
Strong technical skills in liability investigations, quantum assessments, and medical evidence review
Experience with court procedures, witness statements, and adhering to client SLAs
Drive to develop a career as an Associate and contribute to business development
