National law firm seeks an experienced Intellectual Property Associate to join its patent prosecution team across multiple U.S. offices (Boston; New York; Pittsburgh; Princeton, NJ; Washington, D.C.). The position focuses on drafting and prosecuting U.S. provisional, utility, and international patent applications and on strategic portfolio management.

The role requires collaboration with technical and legal teams to prepare patentability opinions, manage prosecution timelines, and maintain client patent portfolios. This is a full-time, office-based professional role with standard firm benefits.

4–6 years patent drafting and prosecution experience
Juris Doctor (JD) and active USPTO registration
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field (graduate degree a plus)
Admission/licensure to practice in the state of the chosen office
Strong academic record, excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience preparing/prosecuting provisional, utility, and international patent applications and providing patentability opinions
