A nationally recognized firm is seeking a junior-to-mid-level Intellectual Property Associate to join its New Jersey office. The role focuses on patent prosecution for software- and AI-related technologies and offers exposure to clients ranging from startups to global companies.

Associates will work on drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, responding to Office Actions, conducting examiner interviews, and supporting portfolio strategy. The team collaborates closely with inventors, engineers, and in-house counsel across industries such as healthcare, fintech, and advanced technology.

2–3 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm or corporate setting
Technical background in computer science, software engineering, AI, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
Experience prosecuting software- or AI-related inventions (algorithms, user interfaces, platforms)
New Jersey bar admission required; New York admission preferred
USPTO registration required; strong legal writing and ability to manage multiple matters
