Apply in confidence →Our Washington, DC office seeks a mid-level associate to join our Intellectual Property Litigation practice, with a focus on life sciences. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience in biotechnology litigation and a degree in a life sciences field (e.g., biochemistry, biology, chemistry, biomedical science, chemical engineering, molecular biology, pharmacy, or a related discipline). We are looking for independent thinkers with strong research, writing, and analytical skills, who can manage and mentor junior associates. Experience handling or managing Hatch-Waxman, biosimilar, or pharmaceutical competitor cases before district courts or the PTAB is preferred. Applicants should have strong academic credentials from an accredited law school and be admitted to the bar in the jurisdiction of their preferred office (DC or another US office).
- At least three years of prior work experience in biotechnology litigation
- A degree in a life sciences technology area (biochemistry, biology, chemistry, biomedical science, chemical engineering, molecular biology, pharmacy, or similar)
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage and mentor junior associates
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and creatively, as well as part of a team
- Prior experience handling or managing Hatch-Waxman, biosimilar, or pharmaceutical competitor cases in district court or before the PTAB (preferred)
- Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction of your preferred office
