IP Disputes Associate (3-5 PQE) - London

An opportunity has arisen for an associate to join a market-leading Intellectual Property team in London. The team is renowned for its expertise in high-profile IP disputes and has acted in some of the most significant and influential cases of recent years. The role offers exposure to a wide range of IP litigation and advisory work, including cross-border patent revocation and infringement actions, trade mark, designs and copyright litigation, and 'IP adjacent' disputes.

The team is particularly well known for its enforcement expertise, securing and enforcing search and seizure orders, blocking injunctions, customs seizures and civil injunctions to disrupt counterfeit and grey market supply chains. It is also at the forefront of affirmative recovery and litigation funding, recovering millions of pounds for clients through settlement or court orders. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in all aspects of the team's work, including business development, client care, training and social impact projects.

• 3-5 years PQE gained within IP in private practice
• Passion for IP with a solid grounding in its basics and a commitment to building a career in IP
• Track record of acting in a variety of IP disputes, both pre-action and before UK Courts and IP tribunals (notably the UK and EU IPOs)
• Good grounding in the CPR and specialist IP court and tribunal rules
• Excellent client care skills with a technical and commercial perspective
• A technical (scientific) background is welcome but not essential
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of client work and work independently
• Strong organisational and prioritising skills
• Personable and confident, able to build good working relationships
• Resilient and calm under pressure
• Hunger to undertake business development activities
• Use knowledge, AI and other technology to develop business opportunities and add value
