We are seeking a patent litigation associate with 2–6 years of significant experience to join a dynamic life sciences-focused Intellectual Property practice in Washington, DC. The role centers on ANDA and other life sciences patent disputes, with active involvement in U.S. District Court litigation and post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

The ideal candidate is comfortable operating independently and speaking directly with clients and opposing counsel, enjoys creative problem-solving within a collaborative team, and is eager to help shape case strategy. You should be ready to stand up in court and take depositions — and preferably have already done both.

Work spans the full litigation lifecycle: case analysis, factual and legal research, pleading and motion drafting, discovery on infringement, validity, and damages, claim construction briefing, expert discovery, and pre-trial and trial activities.

2–6 years of significant patent litigation experience in U.S. District Courts and before the PTAB (post-grant proceedings)
Experience with ANDA and/or other life sciences patent litigation
Courtroom and deposition experience preferred
Undergraduate or master's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or another life sciences discipline
Prior experience in the IP department of a comparable law firm
Strong academic record and excellent writing skills
