Junior Associate - Corporate M&A - Jakarta

We are seeking a highly motivated junior associate with 3–4 years of post-qualification experience to join a market-leading M&A team within a global corporate practice, based in Jakarta. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile corporate transactions across Indonesia and internationally, with substantive responsibility under the supervision of senior associates and partners.

You will support public and private M&A, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and strategic investments for domestic and international clients. The position involves taking ownership of defined workstreams on live deals—drafting and reviewing key transaction documents, conducting due diligence, coordinating cross-border inputs, and assisting with deal structuring, negotiation, signing, and closing.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, cross-border environment, with regular client contact and the chance to contribute to client-facing deliverables, presentations, and know-how. You will work closely with senior lawyers, other practice groups, local counsel, and client deal teams, with opportunities for travel to client sites.

• 3–4 years of post-qualification experience as a corporate lawyer at a leading law firm, with meaningful M&A exposure.
• Experience supporting public and/or private M&A, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings, preferably including cross-border transactions.
• Strong drafting, legal research, and analytical skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage defined workstreams, organize priorities, and work effectively in fast-paced deal environments with guidance from senior lawyers.
• Strong academic credentials; Indonesian bar qualification preferred.
• Collaborative and supportive working style, with a willingness to share knowledge and provide informal guidance to junior team members.
