Apply in confidence →This position plays a key role in supporting the firm’s knowledge management (KM) initiatives across several practice groups, with a focus on Insurance + Intellectual Property (IP). The attorney will serve as a KM expert for the Insurance + Reinsurance Litigation, Insurance Transactional + Regulatory, Intellectual Property, and Privacy + Cyber practice groups. Responsibilities include creating, organizing, and maintaining model documents, forms, and precedents; developing practice content and knowledge resources; training attorneys on KM tools and technologies; and partnering with firm leadership to evaluate and implement new legal technologies, including generative AI solutions. The role also supports lateral onboarding and knowledge succession planning, and works with administrative departments to advance firm-wide KM efforts. All work must maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing
- Minimum five (5) years of law firm experience in relevant practice groups (Insurance + Reinsurance Litigation, Insurance Transactional + Regulatory, Intellectual Property, Privacy + Cyber)
- Deep expertise in the workflows, priorities, and day-to-day needs of attorneys in the specified practice groups
- Demonstrated experience in knowledge management, legal research, and practice support, including use of KM tools such as databases, intranets, portals, search engines, and document management systems
- Proven experience with legal technology, project management, and business planning
- Proficiency in legal research databases and knowledge management platforms
- Experience using generative AI tools for legal research, extraction, summarization, analysis, or tool-building, with a skeptical, validation-focused approach to AI output
- Technical expertise in how AI systems are built and evaluated
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and innovative mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Demonstrated ability to work on cross-functional teams and drive organizational change
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Skilled at building productive internal and external relationships
- Commitment to professional growth, continuous learning, and substantive legal continuing education
