An Am Law 50 firm
Apply in confidence →A leading national law firm is seeking a talented senior associate or counsel to join its Labor & Employment department. This is not a traditional employment law role: the team advises on high-stakes matters where workforce decisions directly affect enterprise value, leadership continuity, and transaction success.
Working closely with nationally ranked healthcare, private equity, and M&A teams, you will counsel corporate clients and private equity sponsors on employment issues arising from acquisitions, divestitures, leadership transitions, restrictive covenant disputes, and post-closing integration. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and a key resource to deal teams on sophisticated employment matters requiring strategic thinking, seasoned judgment, and the ability to move quickly.
This is an opportunity to build a practice blending strategic advisory work, risk assessment, transactional counseling, and crisis management in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment where contributions are visible and valued. The role is part of a national search with a focus on several major US markets.
- Senior associate or counsel-level experience in labor and employment law
- Background advising on employment issues in corporate and private equity transactions, including due diligence and post-closing integration
- Experience with restrictive covenants, including structuring, drafting, and enforceability of non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality obligations
- Knowledge of wage-and-hour compliance, misclassification, and workplace policy matters
- Ability to independently manage complex matters and supervise junior associates
- Strong judgment, discretion, and client-facing communication skills
