Labor & Employment Mid-Level to Senior Associate — Pittsburgh

An established law firm is seeking a mid-level to senior associate with four or more years of experience to join its Labor & Employment practice in Pittsburgh. This is a strategic, fast-paced role that goes well beyond traditional employment law counseling, advising companies, private equity sponsors, and senior executives on high-stakes employment disputes and sensitive workforce matters where legal strategy, business objectives, and leadership considerations intersect.

The work centers on litigation — executive mobility disputes, restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation (including injunctive relief), and other complex matters involving senior-level talent and confidential business information. Associates also collaborate on the employment aspects of private equity and M&A transactions, including diligence, risk assessment, and post-closing workforce integration.

Working directly with a partner on mission-critical matters, you will take on meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and hands-on experience from the outset. Ideal candidates are intellectually curious, responsive under pressure, and eager to translate complex legal issues into practical business solutions.

• Four or more years of employment litigation and advisory experience
• Experience with restrictive covenant, trade secret, or executive mobility disputes preferred
• Strong litigation skills: drafting pleadings and motions, legal research, discovery management, case strategy, and hearing/deposition preparation
• Exposure to employment diligence and risk assessment in private equity or M&A transactions a plus
• Sound judgment, responsiveness under pressure, and an interest in developing practical business solutions
