Lateral Partner — Corporate & Finance (Montreal)

Senior lawyer sought to join a well-regarded Canadian firm’s Montreal office to lead and grow its corporate and finance offering with a focus on private equity and venture capital matters. The role combines high-value transaction work with client development and firm leadership responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have an established private equity/VC practice or a portable client base, proven experience advising on complex financings and M&A, and comfort working across corporate and banking disciplines. This is an opportunity to shape strategy and originate work in a collaborative downtown team.

• Proven partner-level experience in private equity, venture capital and related financings
• Demonstrable track record of client origination and business development; portable practice preferred
• Admitted to practise in the relevant Canadian jurisdiction (Quebec or Ontario) or ability to obtain admission
• Strong technical skills on corporate, securities and finance matters and experience leading deal teams
