Lateral Partner — Corporate / M&A, Tokyo

Senior corporate partner opportunity based in Tokyo with a focus on cross-border M&A involving the US market. The role will lead complex transactions, advise strategic corporate clients, and develop a high-value transactional practice across Japan–US corridors.

The firm is a major international practice seeking a partner with an established, portable corporate/M&A practice who can win and manage cross-border deals, mentor junior lawyers, and collaborate with global teams.

• Proven partner-level track record in corporate and M&A work, particularly cross-border transactions involving the US market.
• Established, portable client relationships or demonstrable book of business relevant to corporate/M&A.
• Experience leading deal teams, managing client relationships, and originating new instructions.
• Admission or ability to be admitted in an appropriate jurisdiction and strong English/Japanese language capability where relevant.
