An established international law firm is seeking a lateral partner to build and lead a cross-border shipping finance and restructuring practice. This is a senior, market-facing role for a partner with a demonstrated transactional and restructuring track record in the transportation and maritime sectors, spanning both finance and corporate workstreams.

The group operates selectively and values platforms with genuine US scale and institutional support. The successful candidate will have the resources and geographic reach to service complex, multi-jurisdictional shipping finance and restructuring mandates across the United States and the United Kingdom.

This is a platform for a partner whose current firm has limited the growth of their practice and who is seeking a broader, better-resourced environment in which to expand client relationships and team. Succession planning and the existence of a clear deputy or #2 are expected to be part of the candidate's diligence on any platform.
