Lateral Partner – Healthcare Restructuring

An Am Law 20 firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its healthcare restructuring practice in Chicago. This is a replacement role focused on representing debtors, creditors’ committees, and other stakeholders in distressed healthcare matters, including hospitals, health systems, senior living facilities, and healthcare providers.

The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business and deep experience in complex restructuring and bankruptcy work, with a particular emphasis on healthcare distress. The firm is looking for a collaborative partner who can help expand its national restructuring platform, working alongside colleagues in other offices and contributing to a growing pipeline of complex, cross-border matters.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in Illinois (or eligibility to become admitted promptly)
• Significant experience representing debtors, creditors’ committees, and other parties in chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings, with a focus on healthcare industry clients
• Proven ability to originate and manage complex bankruptcy litigation and distressed financing matters
• Strong track record of client development and retention, with a portable book of business
• Collaborative approach and willingness to build the practice with colleagues in a team-oriented environment
• Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
