Seeking a lateral partner to join a major U.S. law firm's Energy & Environmental practice in Chicago. The role centers on advising energy-sector clients on regulatory, compliance and environmental matters and leading client-facing engagements.

The team handles a mix of regulatory counseling and matters that intersect with EPA and other federal/state regulatory regimes; candidates with EPA experience or comparable regulatory credentials — including work involving Washington, D.C. agencies — will be especially competitive.

This is a partner-level opportunity on a platform that offers national resources, cross-practice support and an expectation of business development. The hire will work closely with existing practice leaders to grow client relationships and originate new work.

Experienced partner with a focus on energy and environmental law.
Proven regulatory experience, ideally including EPA or other federal/state environmental agencies.
Track record of originating or managing client relationships; portable practice preferred.
Strong client-facing, leadership and business development skills.
Active bar admission and ability to practice in relevant U.S. jurisdictions.
