Lateral Partner – Finance & Banking (National, US)

A leading international law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Finance & Banking practice across its United States offices. The role sits on the lender side, focused on fund finance, commercial finance, and asset-based finance. The practice is looking to strengthen its finance bench given its size relative to the firm's platform and anticipated retirements, and this position may carry a leadership opportunity.

The role is national in scope and open across all US offices. Pure borrower-side finance work is not a fit, as that is handled by the firm's corporate team. Restructuring work is also excluded from this search.

Ideal candidates are established partners with strong relationships across multiple clients and a portable practice. Groups or teams are preferred. The firm has a mandatory retirement age of 70; partners considering this role should have many productive years ahead, and those approaching the upper end of their careers may be considered where they bring a substantial practice and a succession plan.
