Leading German law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Government & Public and Compliance & Regulatory practice in Berlin. The role combines advisory and regulatory work for public-sector and regulated-industry clients, with responsibility for originating and managing mandates.

The successful candidate will join an established team, lead client engagements, and help grow a compliance and public-law offering. The firm is open to candidates with a portable practice; a demonstrable book of business and active business development capability are important.

Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Germany (or equivalent qualification).
Established partner-level experience in government/public law, regulatory compliance or government contracting.
Proven track record of originating and managing client work; portable practice preferred.
Strong leadership and team-management skills; experience mentoring junior lawyers.
Excellent German and English language skills; strong commercial awareness.
