A leading international law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its New York Intellectual Property practice focusing on patent prosecution, licensing and patent litigation. The role combines courtroom and administrative litigation (including ITC/Section 337 matters) with counseling on Hatch‑Waxman and other life‑sciences IP disputes.

The successful candidate will lead client matters, supervise associates across prosecution and litigation streams, and help develop the practice's business in the region. The role is partner-level and open to candidates with an established, portable IP practice.

  • Established partner-level experience in patent litigation and patent prosecution, including Hatch‑Waxman and/or ITC/Section 337 matters
  • Track record of managing teams and running complex, multi‑forum IP disputes
  • Demonstrable business development ability and willingness to grow a portable client practice
  • Admission to practice in relevant U.S. jurisdictions; technical background in life sciences or related fields preferred
