Lateral Partner — Real Estate & Construction, Washington, D.C.

Seeking a partner-level Real Estate and Construction lawyer to join a leading U.S. law firm’s Washington, D.C. office. The role will lead transactional and advisory matters across commercial real estate and construction projects, working with sophisticated developer, owner, lender and contractor clients.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for business development, client relationship management and mentoring junior lawyers while handling complex negotiations, contract drafting, risk allocation and dispute avoidance strategies.

• Established partner-level experience in real estate and construction law, including drafting and negotiating construction contracts and commercial real estate transactions.
• Proven record of leading matters and managing client relationships; experience supervising teams and mentoring junior lawyers.
• Active bar admission in D.C. or eligibility to be admitted; strong academic and professional references.
• Portable practice and existing client relationships preferred.
