A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Director to join its Cyber and Risk team in Dubai. This senior hire will take a leading role in delivering high-quality advice on cyber incidents, data breaches, and the associated regulatory and litigation risks.

Working closely with partners and the wider global cyber team, you will lead complex incident response mandates for insurers and corporate clients, provide strategic coverage and claims advice under cyber policies, and advise on data protection compliance, breach notifications, and regulatory engagement across the Middle East. You will also handle and supervise data subject claims and related disputes.

The role offers substantial autonomy, direct client contact, and the opportunity to shape the continued growth of the cyber and data risk practice in the region. You will mentor and develop junior lawyers and contribute significantly to business development, client relationship management, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Substantial post-qualification experience (typically 8+ years) with a strong track record in cyber, data privacy, insurance coverage, or commercial litigation
Proven ability to lead complex matters, supervise teams, and deliver practical, commercially focused advice at a senior level
Excellent drafting, analytical, advocacy, and client-relationship skills
Ideally qualified in England & Wales, Australia, or another common-law jurisdiction; prior Middle East experience is highly desirable
Confident, commercially aware lawyer with a collaborative style and a genuine interest in developing the practice and mentoring others
