We are seeking two contract lawyers for an approximate 6-month, full-time engagement (with the possibility of extension) to support large-scale professional liability litigation files. Reviewers will work remotely and autonomously for the most part, while attending regular team meetings either virtually or in person at our Montréal office.

This role involves reviewing and analyzing high volumes of documents and email exchanges, drafting memoranda on reviewed materials, assisting with preparation of examinations for discovery, and identifying and extracting key documents. Reviewers will also support the development of case strategies and report on progress during team meetings.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required, given the nature of the documents to be reviewed from a legal perspective.

Civil law degree from a recognized university
Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
1–5 years of relevant litigation experience
Bilingualism (French and English) required
Strong ability to analyze, summarize and extract key legal points
Sound judgement and legal reasoning
Rigor, attention to detail and diligence
Team spirit and collaboration
Knowledge of Relativity, Nextpoint or another document review platform is an asset
