Our Leveraged Finance group is one of the most active and successful practices in the London mid-market, and we are seeking a Managing Associate to help sustain our momentum and drive further growth as part of a major strategic expansion. You will work with an impressive client roster spanning banks, debt funds, direct lenders, private equity sponsors and financial institutions.

You will advise on a wide range of market structures, including super senior facilities, first-out, second lien, unitranche and TLB facilities, across the energy, transport, real estate, healthcare and financial services sectors. The team handles the full lifecycle of financing transactions — from origination and negotiation through documentation to closing — and is particularly noted for expertise in leveraged and acquisition finance and bespoke complex transactions.

This is a collegiate, high-performing and busy team that gives Managing Associates genuine responsibility and a leading role on deals. You can expect a good variety of work, high-quality training, and support for continuous development through technical and skills-based programmes, mentoring, coaching and leadership initiatives. You will also supervise junior lawyers and contribute actively to knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE in leveraged finance, including leading on private equity-backed transactions.
Experience acting on UK and/or European mid-market financings.
Familiarity with managing transactions, including facility agreements, term sheets, commitment papers and intercreditor arrangements.
Proactive, client-first approach with strong service orientation.
Ability to work collegially in a team environment.
Commerciality and demonstrable business development experience.
