Litigation Counsel - Commercial Litigation - Seattle, WA

A highly regarded US law firm is seeking a Counsel to join its Litigation Department in the Seattle office. The role centers on complex commercial litigation, with a strong preference for candidates who also bring insurance bad faith and coverage litigation experience.

The position calls for a self-directed litigator who can run matters independently in a fast-paced environment and deliver practical, business-friendly advice to clients. The successful candidate will have genuine hands-on leadership of cases rather than a purely delegating role.

This is an opportunity to take substantive ownership of litigation work within a collaborative department while serving a varied commercial client base.

• Eight to twelve years of commercial litigation experience
• Experience with insurance bad faith and coverage litigation preferred
• Complex commercial litigation experience preferred
• Juris Doctorate required; licensed to practice in Washington
• License to practice in Oregon a plus
• Strong research, writing skills, and academic record
• Ability to independently run a case from start to finish with minimal oversight
• Extensive deposition, oral argument, and trial experience preferred
• First-chair, hands-on case leadership experience preferred
• Federal and state court experience preferred
• Large law firm or boutique law firm experience preferred
