A global Am Law 50 firm is seeking a corporate mid-level associate with 4–6 years of private equity experience to join its nationwide private equity team. The role is open across multiple U.S. offices, including Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York.

The private equity practice represents private equity funds, independent sponsors, family offices, and their portfolio companies in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations, growth and other financings, entity formation, and strategic alliance arrangements. The work frequently intersects with industry-focused practices such as aerospace and defense, healthcare, life sciences, food and beverage, renewable energy, communications, fintech, AI, and entertainment.

Associates receive early and substantive client exposure and are expected to grow as lawyers within an energetic, collaborative team. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating transaction agreements, managing closings, conducting legal research and analysis, communicating directly with clients, and overseeing more junior team members.

4–6 years of private equity transaction experience
Creativity and flexibility to handle varied transaction types and structures

Strong academic credentials
Admission to the bar of the office state, or eligibility to obtain admission by reciprocity
