The role

We are seeking a mid-to-senior level associate to join our international structured finance practice, focusing on synthetic securitisation and Significant Risk Transfer (SRT) transactions. You will advise leading global financial institutions on regulatory capital management, balance sheet optimisation, and structured credit solutions, including funded and unfunded synthetic securitisations, credit risk transfer structures, and portfolio risk transfer transactions. The work spans multiple jurisdictions and asset classes, and you will be involved in innovative, market-leading deals.

Key responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in structuring and executing SRT and synthetic securitisation transactions.
  • Advise on regulatory capital, credit risk transfer, and structured credit products.
  • Negotiate with investors and counterparties, and manage transaction documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across structured finance, regulatory, tax, and derivatives practices.
  • Contribute to ongoing programme development and client relationship management.

Your experience

We are looking for candidates with significant experience in synthetic securitisation, SRT transactions, portfolio risk transfer, securitisation, or structured finance. Experience advising financial institutions on regulatory capital optimisation, capital relief trades, credit linked notes, or risk transfer transactions is particularly valuable. You should possess strong technical drafting skills, sound commercial judgment, and a genuine interest in the evolving regulatory capital and risk transfer market. Candidates from leading securitisation, structured finance, derivatives, or banking practices are encouraged to apply.

About the team

Our structured finance team is consistently top-ranked in leading legal directories. We act for originators, arrangers, investors, and collateral managers on complex structures, covering public and private issuances, repackagings, synthetic and cash structures, warehouses, and risk transfer transactions across asset classes and jurisdictions. The majority of our work is cross-border and international.
