Seeking a midlevel IP associate to join a busy life‑sciences patent prosecution team in San Jose. The role focuses on prosecution work for biotechnology and life‑sciences technologies, working with cross‑functional teams to manage patent portfolios from drafting through prosecution.

This position suits an associate with strong technical credentials (advanced degree preferred) and practical patent prosecution experience who wants increased responsibility on patent filings, office action responses, and portfolio management.

• 1–5 years' patent prosecution experience, preferably in biotechnology/life‑sciences.
• Advanced degree in a life‑sciences area preferred (Ph.D. advantageous).
• USPTO registration (or willingness/ability to sit for and pass the patent bar prior to joining or within 12 months of hire).
• Active California Bar membership required.
