Midlevel Intellectual Property Associate — Life Sciences, Houston

Seeking a midlevel patent associate to join a major international firm’s IP team in Houston, focused on life‑sciences and biotechnology work. The role centers on patent prosecution for biotechnology clients and related counseling.

Ideal candidates will have an advanced life‑sciences degree (Ph.D. preferred) and a practical track record in drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications. USPTO registration is required; candidates must either be registered before start or prepare for, take, and pass the patent bar within the first 12 months of employment.

• 1–5 years of patent prosecution experience in biotechnology or life‑sciences technologies
• Advanced degree in a life‑sciences field (Ph.D. preferred)
• USPTO registration required — or willingness/ability to sit for and pass the patent bar within 12 months of hire
• Strong drafting and prosecution skills, and ability to work with scientific teams
