Midlevel IP Associate (Life Sciences) — Philadelphia

Midlevel associate role in an established intellectual property practice focused on life sciences and biotechnology. The team handles patent prosecution work across biological and biotech technologies; the role will involve drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, preparing office action responses, and advising scientific clients.

The group seeks a candidate comfortable working with cross-disciplinary teams, translating scientific work into strong patent filings, and managing docketed tasks. This is a hands-on prosecution role with opportunities to work on complex, technology-driven matters within a collaborative practice.

• 1–5 years of patent prosecution experience, preferably in biotechnology/biological life-sciences technologies.
• Advanced degree in a life-sciences field required; Ph.D. preferred.
• USPTO registration required — candidates must already be registered or agree to sit for and pass the patent bar within 12 months of hire.
• Strong drafting, prosecution, and client-communication skills; ability to work with scientists and manage multiple matters.
