A leading UK construction team is seeking a construction lawyer to join its Manchester practice, focusing on a wide range of non-contentious matters. Continued success has driven an increase in key mandates, creating an exciting opportunity to play a central role in client relationship development and the continued expansion of the team.

The team advises on complex construction, development, regeneration, energy, utilities, process, and civil engineering projects for major private companies, as well as central and local government and other public sector bodies. Work spans buildings, civil and process plant engineering, energy, infrastructure, and utilities, alongside project support to wider Real Estate, Banking, and Projects teams.

You will provide strategic advice to high-calibre clients—government bodies, funders, developers, employers, operators, contractors, sub-contractors, and professional teams—on high-profile projects, procurement strategies including facilities management, and dispute avoidance. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating a range of construction and engineering contracts such as JCT, NEC, and bespoke agreements, handling your own matters with supervision, and assisting partners and managing associates on complex matters.

2 to 5 years' PQE in non-contentious construction matters, with a particular focus on Real Estate Development.
Confident stakeholder manager with experience engaging internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent procedural and document management capabilities, with confidence drafting clear and legally effective documents.
Efficient diary and task management across a range of matters, ensuring accuracy and high client service standards.
Inquisitive and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in understanding clients and their drivers.
