An established national labor and employment law firm seeks an Of Counsel attorney to join its Detroit office. The firm represents employers across a wide range of industries and is consistently ranked among the top-tier practices for labor and employment litigation, employment law, and labor law on behalf of management.

The role involves defending and litigating a broad spectrum of employment-related claims and agency charges, including class and collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract, employment tort, and non-compete matters. The attorney will represent employers in court, arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations, and will also advise, counsel, and train employers on labor and employment law issues.

This is a hybrid position offering the opportunity to take a leadership role in a sophisticated employment litigation practice while working within a collegial and professional team environment.

JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
9+ years of employment litigation experience, including significant first-chair case management
Current Michigan Bar admission in good standing
Experience supervising associates and paralegals, including delegating assignments and providing feedback
In-depth understanding of state and federal agency procedures
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational, time-management, and project-management abilities
Class action experience preferred but not required
