Practice Counsel – Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation

A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced practice counsel to join its employee benefits and executive compensation practice. This is a non-partnership track position focused on providing practical, client-facing legal guidance.

The role involves advising clients on day-to-day employee benefits matters, including ERISA compliance, retirement and welfare plans, and fiduciary responsibilities. The ideal candidate will independently manage routine matters and deliver clear, actionable advice.

While the preferred office is Chicago, candidates within other offices will also be considered. This position does not include business development or practice growth responsibilities.

• At least 10 years of experience advising on employee benefits matters, including ERISA compliance, retirement and welfare plans, and fiduciary responsibilities
• Experience at a law firm with a dedicated employee benefits practice
• Admission to the state bar of the preferred office location
