Leading national law firm seeks a lateral partner to build and lead its bankruptcy, restructuring and creditors' rights practice in Northern Virginia (McLean). The role will focus on advising creditors, debtor entities and financing parties on complex restructuring matters and chapter proceedings.

The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team handling in-court restructurings, out-of-court workouts, creditor protections and related litigation. This is a visible role with responsibility for originating work, managing client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers.

  • Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
  • Established track record in corporate restructurings, bankruptcy litigation and creditors' rights representation
  • Proven origination ability and strong client relationships in the U.S. market
  • Experience supervising teams and developing associate talent
  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction and eligibility to practice in Virginia
