Seeking a lateral partner to join a busy corporate practice with a strong intellectual property and energy transaction component. The role will lead and develop cross-practice matters involving M&A, private equity and life sciences clients, with opportunities to advise on corporate governance and commercial transactional work.

The successful candidate will combine client development ability with hands-on deal leadership and experience managing teams on complex, high-value transactions. This is a client-facing role that will help shape and grow the office s transactional platform in Washington, D.C.

Demonstrated partner-level experience in M&A, private equity and transactional IP matters, preferably with life sciences or energy sector exposure
Proven track record of originating and leading complex deals and managing deal teams
Strong business development and client relationship skills
Bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction and ability to practice in Washington, D.C.
Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
