Partner — Corporate (M&A & Securities) — Toronto

Leading Canadian corporate group is seeking a lateral partner to join its Toronto office to lead complex M&A and securities work. The role is client-facing, offering responsibility for originating and managing transactions, supervising associates, and developing transactional strategy across public and private company mandates.

The team advises domestic and international clients on cross-border deals, equity and debt offerings, and corporate governance matters. The hire will collaborate with other practice groups on integrated, high-value matters.

Only candidates with an established, portable corporate practice will be considered; the team is prioritizing partners able to bring a demonstrable book of business and to grow client relationships in the Toronto market.

• Lateral partner with a strong corporate/M&A and securities background
• Proven track record of originating and closing deals and managing client relationships
• Established, portable client base (demonstrable book of business)
• Licensed to practice in Ontario (or able to obtain admission) and experienced supervising teams
• Excellent commercial judgment and business development capability
