Leading US law firm is seeking a lateral partner to build and lead its Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice from the Hartford office. The role focuses on advising emerging growth companies, venture capital investors and strategic acquirers across formation, financings, equity compensation and exits.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of originating and managing VC and growth-company work, strong relationships with investors and founders, and the ability to develop and mentor a team. This is a rainmaking position; a portable practice is required.

Established partner with significant experience in venture capital, emerging growth and startup matters
Proven track record of originating and growing client relationships and managing complex transactions
Experience advising both companies and institutional investors on financings, governance and exits
Strong leadership and business-development skills; able to mentor junior lawyers and build a practice
Admission to the relevant state bar and active good standing
