Partner, Emerging Companies & Venture Capital — Washington, D.C.

Senior corporate partner role in the Washington, D.C. office of a highly regarded law firm, focused on emerging companies, venture capital and growth-stage transactions. The team advises founders, investors and startups across financings, equity incentives and commercial arrangements.

The firm is seeking a partner to lead and grow its emerging companies & venture capital practice in-market, work closely with corporate colleagues on cross-practice matters, and mentor junior lawyers. A portable practice and demonstrable business development capability are important for this opportunity.

• Proven partner-level experience advising emerging growth companies and venture capital investors.
• Established, portable client relationships and demonstrated business development success.
• Strong transactional skills (financings, equity incentives, shareholder agreements and related corporate documentation).
• Track record of leading deal teams and mentoring associates.
• Active bar admission and ability to practice in the U.S.; DC admission preferred.
