Leading national law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Detroit office to expand an established Energy & Environmental practice. The role will focus on regulatory matters and compliance counseling for clients in the energy sector, including matters involving EPA and related federal/state regulatory regimes.

The successful candidate will be a senior practitioner with a track record of advising energy clients, handling complex regulatory risk and enforcement matters, and originating or bringing a portable practice. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines client work with business development and contributing to regional growth.

Partner-level experience in energy and environmental law, including EPA and federal/state regulatory matters
Proven client development and relationship management; ability to bring or grow a portable practice
Strong judgment on regulatory risk, enforcement defense, and compliance counseling
Licensed to practice and able to work from the Detroit office
