Partner — Intellectual Property Litigation, Palo Alto

Leading international law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Palo Alto office to lead and grow an intellectual property practice focused on patent prosecution and patent litigation. The role combines courtroom and counseling work, handling disputed matters as well as portfolio development and prosecution strategy.

The successful candidate will work with a team of IP litigators and patent prosecutors on complex technology matters and will have the opportunity to develop client relationships and originate new work. This is a partner-level role where a portable practice or demonstrable business development capability is valued.

• Established partner with substantial experience in patent litigation and patent prosecution.
• Track record of managing complex IP matters and leading teams in contentious proceedings.
• Proven client development skills and the ability to originate or bring a portable practice.
• Active bar admission and credentials appropriate for a Palo Alto practice (bar requirements, technical background or PhD/engineering degree as relevant).
