Senior hire sought to lead and grow an established intellectual property and technology practice in the Washington, D.C. office of a leading national law firm. The role will combine client counselling, IP prosecution and transactions, and strategic matter leadership across telecom and life‑sciences-related technology matters.
The partner will be expected to originate and manage client relationships, work closely with cross-practice teams on complex, high-value matters, and mentor junior lawyers. The position offers a platform to expand a commercial IP/technology book while handling both contentious and transactional matters for corporate and institutional clients.
- Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
- Established partner-level experience in intellectual property and technology matters, with experience in telecommunications and/or life sciences strongly preferred
- Proven business development and client relationship track record
- Ability to manage and develop teams on complex cross-border matters
If the fit is not obvious on paper, a conversation is still worth having — the specification tends to follow the practice.
