Partner, Private Equity — New York or Dallas

Leading global firm seeks a partner to help build and lead a growing private equity / M&A team. This is a strategic hire: the firm is investing in expanding its private equity capability and prefers candidates who can join with at least one other lawyer or a small group.

Primary priorities are New York and Dallas, with additional opportunities in Chicago and other international offices. The role will involve originating and leading buyouts, exits and complex cross-border transactions for sponsor and corporate clients.

• Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
• Established partner-level track record in private equity transactions and M&A
• Demonstrated origination ability and client relationships with sponsors or strategic buyers/sellers
• Experience leading deal teams and mentoring mid‑senior associates; openness to group hires
• Comfort with cross‑border transactions and coordinating across multiple offices
