Senior partner opportunity for an experienced real estate and construction lawyer to join a major U.S. law firm’s Chicago office. The role focuses on leading transactional and advisory matters across commercial real estate, development, and construction-related matters for institutional and corporate clients.

The team advises on a broad range of matters including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financings, development agreements, construction contracts and dispute prevention. The office offers platform support, national deal flow, and collaboration with real estate, finance and litigation teams across the firm.

We are looking for a partner capable of building and sustaining a portable practice or bringing a complementary book of business, while mentoring junior lawyers and growing client relationships in the Chicago market.

Established partner with a strong practice in real estate and/or construction law.
Proven track record of originating and managing client matters; portable practice or demonstrable business development capability preferred.
Admission to practice in Illinois or ability to become admitted; experience working with national clients and cross-practice teams.
Strong client-facing, mentoring and practice-management skills.
