Partner — Tax & Litigation, Walnut Creek

Established U.S. law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Walnut Creek office to lead and grow a tax-focused litigation practice. The role combines courtroom and advisory work across federal and state tax disputes, with opportunities to supervise associates and contribute to firm-wide client development.

The team handles a broad mix of tax controversy, litigation strategy and related advisory matters. The firm is open to candidates with an existing portable practice or proven ability to originate and expand client relationships, but a specific book size is not required.

• Partner-level experience in tax controversy and litigation, including contested matters in federal or state forums
• Strong trial or dispositive motion experience and courtroom presence
• Proven client-development skills and comfort managing client relationships
• Bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction (California preferred) and ability to work from the Walnut Creek office
