Apply in confidence →Leading national firm is actively expanding a Technology & Life Sciences corporate practice and is seeking a lateral partner to help build and lead the group across its Montreal and Toronto offices. The team focuses on cross-border, US-facing corporate transactions for technology and life sciences companies.
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record advising tech and/or life sciences clients on M&A and growth financings, strong relationships with venture and growth capital investors are a plus, and a clear ability to originate and grow high-quality client work.
The firm also has related hiring needs in class-action litigation (associate level) and may consider a high-profile securities/capital markets partner in select cases; litigation candidates will undergo careful conflict screening.
- Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
- Established experience in technology and/or life sciences corporate work with cross-border (US-facing) transactions
- Proven business development and client-management record; quality of client relationships valued over raw book size
- Ability to work collaboratively across offices and contribute to practice growth
