Leading national law firm seeks a lateral partner to join and grow its Transportation & Maritime practice in the New York office. The role focuses on counseling carriers, shippers, insurers and other industry participants on transactional, regulatory and dispute matters across the maritime and broader transportation sectors.

Ideal candidate will take on a client-facing leadership role within the group, managing a team of lawyers, developing new business and strengthening existing client relationships. The position offers significant visibility within the national practice and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across offices.

Established partner with substantial experience advising on maritime and transportation matters (transactions, regulatory work and/or disputes).
Proven record of client development and ability to bring or grow a portable practice.
Strong leadership and team-management skills; experience mentoring junior lawyers.
Admission to practice in New York (or ability to become admitted) and excellent professional references.
