Patent Litigation Associate — Intellectual Property, New York

Seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join a patent litigation team in the New York office of a leading US law firm. The team handles complex patent disputes for clients across technology, telecommunications, financial services and manufacturing sectors, including both offensive and defensive matters and disputes involving non-practicing entities.

Work will include substantive litigation tasks across the life of cases: claim construction, discovery management, motion practice, and trial preparation. The group values candidates with strong technical aptitude and experience learning complex technologies quickly; advanced degrees in engineering or the sciences are viewed favorably.

• Junior to mid-level associate (role described as “Junior or Mid-Level” in the hiring brief)
• Experience on patent litigation matters (claim construction, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation)
• Strong technical or scientific background; advanced degrees in engineering/sciences are a plus
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills and ability to work on cross-functional client teams
• Admission to the New York bar or eligibility to obtain admission
