Private Equity Associate — Corporate

Established national law firm seeks a 3rd–6th year attorney with private equity and M&A experience to join its corporate practice. The role involves regular drafting and negotiation of purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and ancillary transaction documents for fund and portfolio company matters.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong drafting, writing and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage matters and coordinate with deal teams in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Excellent academic credentials and prior large-firm private equity experience are required.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and an expected annual pay range of $260,000–$390,000, with final offers dependent on geography and experience.

• 3–6 years post-qualification experience in private equity and M&A transactions
• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase/merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and related transaction documents
• Strong drafting, analytical, organizational and project-management skills
• Prior large-firm (or equivalent) private equity sponsor experience; excellent academic record
