Private Equity Partner – Americas

An international law firm undertaking a significant build-out of its US private capital platform is seeking experienced private equity partners to join its Americas practice. This is a strategic, opportunistic lateral search across all US states and DC, aimed at attracting established teams and individual laterals who want to help scale a growing practice.

The firm has invested heavily in its US growth and now operates as a single, fully integrated global partnership. Private equity has grown from two partners seven years ago to six today, with further expansion planned. The platform is ranked in the top 10 globally for deal value in both M&A and private equity this year.

The firm’s culture is deeply collaborative — laterals are expected to work across product groups and sectors (including health, life sciences, tech, and financial services), and to team with other partners to deepen existing client relationships. Each lateral partner receives dedicated support from a US integration manager for their first 12 months to accelerate client mapping and joint coverage.

• Partner-level experience in private equity, ideally with a portable book of business and a team (associates/counsel) to bring along.
• Proven ability to develop and deepen client relationships, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Willingness to integrate into a global, cross-practice platform and to work closely with colleagues across M&A, finance, and other groups.
• Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
