Leading law firm platform is seeking a Real Estate Finance associate to join its New York office. The role focuses on representing institutional lenders on complex commercial real estate financings across a variety of asset classes.

Typical responsibilities include managing transactions from inception through closing, drafting and negotiating loan and financing documents, reviewing title/survey/zoning due diligence, and coordinating with clients and other transaction participants. The team handles construction loans, syndicated and securitized financings, mezzanine and intercreditor structures, and workout/modification matters.

2-5 years' post-qualification experience in real estate finance at a regional, national or international law firm
Experience representing institutional lenders on commercial real estate financings
Proven ability drafting and negotiating loan documents and related financing instruments
Familiarity with construction loans, syndicated/securitized financings, mezzanine financing and intercreditor/co-lender arrangements
Experience with loan modifications, workouts or restructurings is a plus
Excellent academic credentials
