A Senior or Principal Associate is sought for a national real estate team in Leeds, focusing on distressed and special-situations property work. The role involves advising on accelerated disposals, pre-pack sales, insolvency-driven transactions and property-led restructurings for lenders, investors, PE houses and corporates.

You will manage short-timetable matters with complex title, occupational and financing issues, support insolvency practitioners on asset realisation, and work on transactions that combine real estate with corporate and banking elements. The role involves regular cross-office collaboration with colleagues in other UK cities.

Proven experience advising on distressed and special-situations real estate transactions (accelerated disposals, pre-packs, insolvency-driven deals)
Strong lease drafting and negotiation skills; experience with sale contracts, options and acquisitions/disposals of property assets
Ability to work on short-timetable, complex matters involving title, occupation and finance issues
Comfortable collaborating with restructuring/insolvency and banking teams on multi-disciplinary transactions
Commercial mindset, client-focused approach and ability to manage relationships with institutional clients and insolvency practitioners
