An Am Law 20 firm is seeking a finance associate to join its market-leading Business Restructuring & Reorganization team in its Palo Alto office. This role sits at the intersection of distressed finance and restructuring, offering significant responsibility on top-of-capital-structure matters.

The associate will represent creditors and borrowers in liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings, and special situations financings. Work spans both in-court chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.

Clients include hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds, and other financial institutions. Candidates from law school class years 2019 through 2023 are encouraged to apply.

Significant experience representing creditors or borrowers in liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings, and/or special situations financings
Background in chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings
Strong academic credentials and finance/restructuring aptitude
